From July 23rd to 28th, 2021, the "First Bilateral Academic Symposium between the Artificial Photosynthesis Center of Dalian University of Technology and the Center of Artificial Photosynthesis for Solar Fuels at Westlake University," hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals at Dalian University of Technology, was successfully held in the Zhiyuan Building of Dalian University of Technology. Over 100 faculty members and students from Dalian University of Technology and Westlake University participated in the symposium. Professor GUO Xinwen, Party Committee Secretary of the School of Chemical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology, delivered a welcome address at the opening ceremony.
During the symposium, in-depth academic discussions were held on research areas such as photoelectrocatalytic water splitting for hydrogen production, photoelectrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide/nitrogen, and novel solar cells. Additionally, under the guidance of Professor LI Fei, Party Committee Secretary of the State Key Laboratory of Fine Chemicals, attendees visited the History Museum of Dalian University of Technology. This symposium not only enhanced mutual understanding and promoted academic exchange but also laid a solid foundation for future academic collaboration between the two universities. It is conducive to advancing joint development in the fields of solar fuels and solar cells.
