Indium Cyanamide for Industrial-Grade CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid

Prof. Biaobiao Zhang’s group at the Center of Artificial Photosynthesis for Solar Fuels at Westlake University has published a research paper in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. The paper is titled “Indium Cyanamide for Industrial-Grade CO2Electroreduction to Formic Acid.

The research reported Indium cyanamide nanoparticles to achieve industrial formic acid synthesis from CO2 electroreduction and reveal the proton relay effect from the structural transformation among [N=C=NH], [N≡C−NH2], and [N≡C−NH3+] remarkably improved the catalytic activity.

Assistant researcher Bingquan Jia and Ph.D. student Zhe Chen from Westlake University are first authors. Prof. Biaobiao Zhang from the Center of Artificial Photosynthesis for Solar Fuel at Westlake University is the only corresponding author.
